Lufthansa and all its partners are located under one roof in Terminal 1 and at Pier A, which has been built exclusively for Lufthansa.

All concourses at both terminals are connected (both landside and airside) by a free Sky Train (monorail). There is also a free shuttle bus. Luggage carts are not allowed on the Sky Train. The transfer between Terminal 1 and 2 on foot takes around 15 minutes.

Can you go between Terminal 1 and 2 at Frankfurt Airport : The yellow shuttle buses are a convenient way to transfer between terminals. The stops are located in front of Terminals 1 and 2 and at the P36 bus parking lot for long-distance buses. They leave every 10-15 minutes (depending on the time of day) and operate daily around the clock (24/7). The shuttle is free of charge.

What is the difference between T1 T2 and T3 airport

If both your flights, the incoming and the connecting flights are within the 2000-2999 flight number range you can conveniently connect within T2. If the connecting flight has a flight number other than 2000-2999 you will have to proceed to a different terminal -T1 for domestic and T3 for international.

All International flights are operated from T3, Domestic Flights are operated in T1 or T3, depending of the Carrier. Some domestic other carriers are operated from T3.Most airlines recommend arriving at the airport three hours before departure for international flights. It's common for international flights to start boarding earlier than domestic flights (the aircraft are often larger and have higher passenger capacities), which accounts for the earlier recommendation.
